NEW GUIDANCE FOR EMPLOYERS TO PREVENT ILLEGAL WORKING
On 29 February 2008, the Government introduces changes which all UK employer must be aware of to avoid liability for payment of a civil penalty of up to £10,000 for employing illegal migrants.  Employers need to ask for document(s) from one of two lists: documents in List A establish that the person has an ongoing entitlement to work in the UK and documents in List B indicate that the applicant or employee has restrictions on their entitlement to be in the UK.

The World Intellectual Property Organization Digital Library provides free access to intellectual property data collections (patents, patnet applications, etc.) it hosts.  Frequest users, who want to maintain a record of their search history, can open an account also free of charge
