Carbon Trust doubles energy efficiency loans
The Carbon Trust has doubled the maximum size of its interest-free Energy Efficiency loans from £100,000 to £200,000 – and increased the overall loans pot by 45 per cent to £31 million this year.
The move is in response to the difficult market conditions and will enable small businesses to implement energy saving projects on a far more ambitious scale than previously possible. It is expected that the new scheme will generate 20 per cent more carbon and energy savings this year than would have been possible under the previous limit.  Click here for more details.

TIP OF THE WEEK
Re-examine Your Company’s “Truths”
Whenever everyone in an organization believes that something is “true” to the exclusion of any other options, the company is in trouble.  United views are very important for making everyone work towards the same objectives and goals, but when these beliefs go unchallenged they can prevent companies from adapting to change.
How can you balance this tension?  Regularly challange every belief that is deeply held in your by asking what the opposite view would look like.  If that takes you to a very different market place or direction, then try to explore how you could exploit these new opportunities.
