MANAGEMENT TIP of the WEEK

A Simple Gesture to Boost Morale

If your company's feeling the economic pinch it is hard to avoid making your employees worried about job cuts.  You want to keep spirits up, but budgets are tight and getting tighter, people are stressed and you may feel tense and irritable yourself.

A simple but powerful and free(!) gesture that will lift your employees' spirits is sending a note of appreciation to people on your team.  Be specific about what you value in each individual, and when you can, mention a detail that will positively surprise the recipient about your level of awareness.
